Beginning of the year:

Spring:

"Fifty Shades of Grey" by EL James became a best-seller & since then has spawned various products like jewelry with a bracelet made of 50 charms inspired by the book, or The Fifty Shades of Grey album featuring Chopin among others on the playlist.

June & Summer:

Monet hits the runway

Went to visit the Musee d'Orsay & saw the fascinating "Impressionism & Fashion" exhibit, showcased in collaboration with the Metropolitan Museum of Art  & the Art Institute of Chicago. It includes paintings from the Impressionists like Monet or Cezanne as well as dresses, shoes & costumes from the blooming fashion industry of the second half of the 19th century.
