Another era I love in the history of fashion is the English Tudor era (XVth - XVII th century) with its ornate clothing, padded skirts, colorful floor length gowns & adorned embroidered hats.
Anne Boleyn
Maid of honor of the Queen of France in her early days
& Queen of England as second wife to King Henri VIII,
she definitely represents one of the most controversial figures of the Tudor time.
Her scandalous marriage, since the king broke from the church to get an annulment from his first wife to marry her & separated from Anne's sister who was his mistress,
saw her being detained at the Tower of London on order of the king & executed on charges of conspiracy & witchcraft.
However her daughter Elizabeth would emerge as one of England greatest queens.
